Swap homes and discover the shores where history was made, in a fisherman’s village that time forgot.
Discover L’ApprodoL’Approdo is set in the town’s main square, three minutes from the sea, in a place shaped by generations. Ships once anchored along these sands to trade wine and goods in the late 1800s, and in 1943 Allied troops landed nearby during Operation Husky. That history adds depth to the setting, but the mood today is very different.
From July to August, the square becomes lively with summer energy. Cafes open late, people gather outdoors, and the seafront promenade is filled with visitors enjoying the long light of the season. Outside of peak months, the area returns to a quieter pace that suits relaxed morning walks and evenings by the water.
L’Approdo gives you easy access to the beach, the square, and the coastal atmosphere while keeping the focus on comfort and a sense of place.
Open the door and you step directly into the main square.
Every corner tells a story
Scoglitti is the perfect base for exploring Sicily, yet so complete in itself that you can live a full local life here without ever touching a car. Here's how a day unfolds when you slow down enough to follow it.
Birdsong, cool tile under bare feet, a small espresso as Scoglitti slowly wakes up around you.
Fishermen mending nets in the shade, the morning's catch laid out on ice. A short stroll from the front door.
Swim off the little rock coves, parasols dotting the shore, the Mediterranean doing what it does best.
Fritto misto at a beachside trattoria, a carafe of Nero d'Avola, and feet in the sand while you eat.
Shutters half-closed, cicadas outside, the ceiling fan turning lazily. Absolutely nothing on the schedule.
A spritz, a plate of olives, the light turning honey-gold over the square just outside the house.
Families strolling the lungomare, kids with gelato, the sea going pink and then copper and then quiet.
Pasta alla Norma under the lemon tree, candles on the hand-painted ceramic tiles, the whole patio yours.
A walk along the silent lungomare — or a late swim at the spiaggette. Salt on your skin, stars overhead.
Inside, we've preserved the soul of the structure, historic stone arches and cool tiled floors, while curating a modern, minimalistic haven for your rest.
"A full-size bed beneath a historic stone arch..."
The architecture itself tells a story, keeping you cool in summer and cozy in the evenings.
Scoglitti preserves a spirit that many coastal towns have lost. Here, the rhythm of life is dictated by the catch, not the clock.
Walk to the harbor at dawn. Watch the blue boats return and witness the vibrant 'Asta del Pesce',the fish auction that feeds the village.
Buy fresh prawns directly from the fishermen. Cook them in your kitchen or visit the local trattorias where recipes are centuries old.
As the sun sets, join the locals in the main square, right outside your door, for gelato and conversation. This is the true Sicilian living room.
Experience the authenticity of a fisherman's life with the comfort of modern design.
